Brant Family and Children’s Services, one of the first child protection agencies in Ontario, is proud of our relationships and standing within the communities we serve. We have followed a ‘community based’ philosophy since the early 1970’s that extends beyond the usual definition and has proven to be very successful.
Brant FACS currently provides supports and services to children and families in Brant County, Brantford and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation (MCFN). Since 1987, we have had a team of Indigenous workers providing services in a culturally appropriate manner that meets the needs and values of the MCFN community.
Chatham-Kent Children’s Services is an accredited multi-service agency that responds to the unique dynamics of our families. The Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton have been supporting children, youth and families since 1953, as one of two child protection agencies serving the Hamilton community. We work closely with other child- and family-focused community agencies to provide coordinated and complementary child welfare services.
When we were founded, Catholic communities frequently established their own service organizations in the face of anti-Catholic public sentiment. Since that time, we have served Hamilton’s large Catholic community, and have actively partnered with non-faith-based organizations to increase the wellbeing of all Hamilton’s young people.
The Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CCAS) has been protecting children from physical, emotional, sexual abuse and neglect for more than 110 years. Mandated under the Child and Family Services Act and funded by the Government of Ontario, CCAS is the second largest child welfare agency in greater Toronto.
When we receive a call concerning abuse or neglect of a child, our specially trained staff investigates, assesses the risk to the child and if needed, develops a plan to keep the child safe. In most cases, we are able to work with families to address safety concerns while keeping the child at home.
Since 1896, the Children’s Aid Society of Haldimand and Norfolk (CAS) has been providing protection, prevention and counselling services to children and families. The Society is funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who represent the communities we serve.
The Children’s Aid Society (CAS) of Hamilton was established in 1894 as a not-for-profit charitable organization focusing on the well-being and protection of children. The Society is mandated under Ontario’s Child, Youth and Family Services Act and, as such, is required by law to protect children from physical, sexual and emotional abuse, and harm. It is funded by the Ontario government, through the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and is one of 47 children’s aid societies and Indigenous Child And Family Well-Being Agencies across Ontario.
The Children’s Aid Society (CAS) of Oxford is a not-for-profit agency that, by law, is required to protect children from physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect.
The agency also helps to build healthy families by working with parents to address concerns and resolve issues that impact on a child’s safety and well-being. The Society provides safe, nurturing environments for youngsters that cannot live at home for short-term and long-term periods.
